Ferguson and Tutwiler Package Centers

The Ferguson and Tutwiler Package Centers will be closed December 20, 2018, through January 1, 2019, in observance, of the winter holiday break. Normal operations will resume January 2, 2019.

Departmental Campus Mail Holiday Update

Campus Mail Service offers an adjusted schedule of mail service during the upcoming holiday break.

Mail delivery clerks will not run their afternoon routes on Wednesday, Dec. 19. Pick-ups will be made from the Centralized Afternoon Pick-up Service (CAPS) drop boxes at 1:30 p.m. Items placed in CAPS drop boxes after 1:30 p.m. will be processed after the holiday break.

– Outgoing mail to be processed before the holiday break that is not picked up on regular mail routes should be brought by noon to Campus Mail, located at Printing & Mail Services at 325 Kirkbride Lane. This cut-off time has been established to allow mail center staff ample time to prepare and process the University’s outgoing mail.

– Campus Mail Service does not process any outgoing mail during the break.

– Campus Mail Service does not deliver mail to campus departments during the break. However, departments may pick up their mail during the break if the following arrangements are made prior to the close of business on Monday, Dec. 17.

-Deans, directors and department heads may, via memo, authorize up to two departmental personnel to pick up mail for their respective departments.

-Please send this memo to Gabrielle Harris at Box 870230 before the close of business on Monday, Dec. 17.

– Authorized employees may pick up mail from the departmental customer entrance on the west side of Printing & Mail Services on the following dates and times:

Pick-up dates: Dec. 28 and Dec. 31

Pick-up Time: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

For security reasons, authorized UA employees must present their Action Card when picking up mail from the mail center

Greek Organizations Holiday Mail Update

Important Information Regarding

Holiday Mail Service for Greek Houses

Campus Mail Service offers an adjusted schedule of mail service during the upcoming holiday break.

The last day Campus Mail Service will deliver to Greek Houses prior to the Holiday break will be Friday, Dec. 14. If you need mail service after this date, please follow the guidelines below. Regular mail delivery service resumes Monday, Jan. 7.

– Greek Houses may pick up their mail during the break if the following arrangements are made prior to the close of business on Monday, Dec. 17.

– House directors, chapter advisors or chapter presidents may authorize, via memo, two people to pick up mail for their respective Greek houses. Please reference your mailstop code (MSC #) for your house on the memo.

– This memo must be furnished to Gabrielle Harris at Box 870230 before the close of business on Monday, Dec. 17. The memo must come from the House Director, chapter advisor, or chapter president. You may give the memo to your delivery clerk the next time they stop by your house or bring it to the Ferguson Mail Center.

Authorized individuals may pick up mail from the Kirkbride Mail Center at 325 Kirkbride Lane. Mail can be picked up on the following dates and times:

Pick-up date: Dec. 28 and Dec. 31

Pick-up time: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Authorized individuals must present their Action Card or photo ID when picking up mail from the mail center.
