Mail Stop Code (MSC#) & District Numbers

The student’s MSC# and District number should be included on all packages sent to the student on campus. Failure to include the correct MSC# and/or District number can cause mail or packages to be delayed or even returned to the sender.

MAIL STOP CODE (MSC#)

Every student actively enrolled and taking classes at UA is automatically assigned a unique 6-digit mailstop code (MSC#). This mailstop code (MSC#) is permanently assigned to the student and allows Campus Mail to match the mail piece to the right student.

Students can find their Mail Stop Code number by logging into MyBama, clicking on the “Student” tab, and locating the “Campus Services” Banner. There will be a hyperlink labeled “MSC (Mail Stop Code) Number.” Click on this link to receive your unique Mail Stop Code Number.

DISTRICT NUMBERS

District numbers are used to route packages to the appropriate parcel locker. Lockers are assigned based on the student’s residence hall or off-campus status. Please be sure to include your district number on all packages. District numbers will change, unlike MSC numbers, when student moves off campus or changes residence halls.

Parcel lockers located at residence halls only service select students that are assigned to that residence hall, or one nearby. The parcel lockers located at the Campus Mail Service Center, Bryce Lawn, and the Magnolia Parking Deck are available for use by all enrolled students, including those off campus.
